HSE Officer

Location: Offshore, Qatar

Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join our offshore operations team in Qatar. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conduct inspections, and drive proactive safety measures in a dynamic offshore environment. Candidates must hold valid offshore certifications and demonstrate expertise in HSE management.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct HSE inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Perform incident investigations using methodologies (e.g., Kelvin TopSet) to identify root causes.
• Monitor compliance with health and environmental regulations, proposing measures to reduce environmental impact.
• Develop and implement Contract HSE Plans, HIRA, HAZID, and HAZOP processes.
• Originate Task Risk Assessments (TRAs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), advising on proactive and retroactive control measures.
• Facilitate HSE training and promote a safety-first culture.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English to deliver reports and briefings.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Proven experience in offshore operations with a strong understanding of HSE requirements.
• Certifications (Mandatory):
  • BOSIET/FOET Opito
  • H2S Opito
  • Valid Offshore Medical (per client requirements)
  • NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Diploma, or IOSH Managing Safely
  • Auditor Qualifications in ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001
• Skills:
  • Proficient in conducting HSE inspections and audits.
  • Expertise in incident investigation and hazard management (TRA/JSAs).
  • Knowledge of health and environmental regulations and compliance monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • OMF Card
  • Evidence of MOSI
  • Previous approval or letter of appreciation from clients or prominent Qatar companies
  • Client training in ePTW
  • University Degree (preferred for visa processing)
  • Additional safety or inspection qualifications related to marine or offshore operations
